Tuition
The Academy offers music lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. Our lessons are billed on a Flat rate tuition system. You are not paying per the number of lessons that are in the month, you are paying for a monthly membership. There is a $30 annual registration fee. you will no be charged a registration if we have a deal going on where we waive the registration fee.
Membership Fee
We charge a yearly membership fee of $30 per student. For families with 3 or more kids, you will only be charged a maximum or 2 registration fees annually. This yearly fee is charged every February 10th. Our small yearly membership fee allows us to continue being the #1 choice for music lessons , giving us the means to continue providing recitals, events, trophies, medals, certificates, full time desk staff and so many other perks ALL INCLUDED IN YOUR MEMBERSHIP at no extra cost!
Lesson schedule
The lesson(s) must remain consistent as far as time and day and cannot be changed from week to week, unless the instructor needs to reschedule because of an emergency. To permanently change your weekly lesson schedule, you can do this online in your student portal or contact our front desk to assist you. Lessons schedule changes are based on teacher and room availability. We advise you to choose a day you are willing to commit to long term. This is because if you decide to change your class day, we cannot guarantee that your instructor will have openings in their agenda on other days due to the quantity of students and registration we receive every month. Our instructors are only at our school the days that they teach, and if they have no other openings in their agenda, then you will have to either change instructors or finish off the month with the day and time you selected. You cannot make schedule changes mid month, unless we have a slot available. If you change your class schedule after our withdrawal date of the 21st and there is no other slot available, then you will have to finish off the month with your current day and time or wait until we can find an opening. We do not give refunds.
Open Door Policy
The parent(s) or legal Guardian(s) of the students are allowed to enter or leave the room at any time during the lesson. Out of courtesy to our instructors, it is expected that anyone in the room during the time of the lesson is quiet and respectful.
Payments
Payments for lessons are paid monthly. Payments are made by monthly recurring credit card payment only on the 1st of every month. We do not accept cash or checks.
Cancellation/Lesson Absence
Our schools always operate at capacity so your instructor is full everyday back to back. For this reason, we offer 3 different make up options: Connect from home online via your online portal at your class time if you cannot come in person, If you give us a 2 hr notice we will offer a Pre recorded personalized video class that your teacher will upload to your online portal, or unlimited masterclasses! For the masterclasses, you do not need to let us know you will be missing, all you need to do is let us know when you come in next time what day from our Masterclass calendar works for you. Our group make up calendar is posted next to our front desk. A FILMED VIDEO CLASS WILL ONLY BE SENT TO THOSE WHO REQUEST IT BEFORE THEIR CLASS. If no video calls were clearly requested before your lessons you will not receive a video class. If one of our instructors has to cancel for any sick or personal reasons, we will appoint a substitute teacher for that class and do our best to notify you beforehand. When a teacher calls a sub, you are not able to credit, refund or reschedule your class with your teacher. The only options are to come in for your class with the sub, do a masterclass, or forfeit the lesson. The sub is a highly qualified instructor who works with our school. Like in regular school, teachers call out and it is always a great experience learning from someone else’s perspective. Your teachers are not able to make up the lesson another day because they are full the days they work here.
Average of 4 lessons per month
Our school closes 4 times annually for vacations.
Our school operates on a yearly calendar but you are not tied down to a yearly contract. This means that there are an average of 4 lessons per month throughout the year as our vacations are included in our yearly calendar. For that reason, no make ups are needed because of our closures. Everyone in our calendar year will get 48 lessons per year, the equivalent of 4 lessons per month.
Teachers
our students have the same instructors weekly unless there is a guest instructor teaching for the day.
Every so often you will get a new instructor if a teacher is not able to continue at our school or schedule changes. We can assure you that any instructor which you receive will be very qualified and professional. Getting multiple perspectives on music is what makes great musicians and is recommended for long term music learning so having multiple instructors throughout your musical learning tenure is ideal! We will always be consistent in offering you high quality music lesson experience.
Withdrawal
A withdrawal notice must be given by the 21st of each month via call, text or email. If this is not done by the 21st of the month, we will not be able to withdraw you until the following month.
Care of Students
The school is not responsible for providing before or after care for students. Parents with children under the age of eight years old must remain in the school lobby during the classes. Students are not to be left at the school for excessive time periods before or after their sessions.
Parents, legal guardians of minors, students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for an injury sustained on school property resulting from normal lesson activity or any other activity conducted by the students or their siblings, before, during, or after their lessons, including hearing loss or hearing damage. The Academy is not responsible for any damage done to vehicles or items stolen from vehicles.
Sick Students
We ask that parents please keep any student who is sick at home and connect for your lesson via zoom. As you know, our school sees up to 80 students per day, and for everyones safety it is asked that any sick studnets do not come into class. IF a student comes into class and is sick (coughing, sneezing, blowing nose) we hold the right to send the student home and will make up the lessons via filmed class or Group make up.
Picking Up
Children must wait for their parents to pick them up inside of the school. Please do not ask them to meet you elsewhere. The Academy assumes no responsibility for children who leave unaccompanied.
Calls
All of our calls are recorded for quality and training purposes.
Refunds
There are no refunds.
Lessons are scheduled based on an agreement made between the student and instructor and room availability. The lesson(s) must remain consistent as far as time and day and cannot be changed from week to week, unless the instructor or student needs to reschedule because of an emergency.
